The fall shows in Antwerp, The Netherlands and Germany – What to expect?

The organization announced Boy George of Culture Club and Charlie Siem who will contribute to all the fall shows. In the Ahoy and the Gelredome, Golden Earring’s Barry Hay will also perform.

RobertGroslot At the 24th of October 1991, Robert Groslot performs the first time as the conductor of the Night of the Proms shows with Il Novecento (back then known as the Orchestra of the XXe century). Friday the 22th of October 2010, Robert Groslot will start his 20th edition with Night of the Proms.
The organization is thinking of changing the setup of the stage, while maintaining the catwalk and standing area’s during each show in Antwerp.

The fall shows in Antwerp, The Netherlands and Germany – Who to expect?

Based on some deduction, we’re guessing on the following artists (for each artist we checked their website if there were other shows announced during the fall):

BoyGeorge Boy George from Culture Club (for Antwerp, The Netherlands and Germany): Boy George couldn’t sign the contract for the Proms-shows during the fall of 2009 caused by an merciless ‘no’ of his probation officer. Jan didn’t rule out a participation to later shows (see his blog of the 29th of June 2009). With his world hits ‘Karma Chameleon’ and ‘Do you really want to hurt’, Boy George can bring a lot of mood.
Kim Wilde (for Antwerp and The Netherlands): she participated in the German NOTP tour of 2008 (You Came, Cambodia, Kids in America) and was very enthusiastic about her participation. Why wouldn’t she continue to sing in Antwerp and The Netherlands after Charleroi? chnotp_kimwilde1
AlanParsons Alan Parsons (for Antwerp and The Netherlands): the big (literary and figuratively) and kind Alan Parsons of course was already a guest during the shows in Antwerp in 1990 and 1997. But in 2008 he participated in the shows of Charleroi, and in 2009 in the German tour. His music is ageless and fits perfectly with the NOTP concept. If he’s coming, we’ll be campaigning to have him playing ‘Don’t answer me’.
Nile Rodgers from Chic (for The Netherlands and Germany): Check already played in Antwerp and Charleroi and the collaboration went very smooth. With his two beautiful singers, Nile Rodgers brings a party into the evening. NileRodgers
chnotp_sharleenspiteri Sharleen Spiteri from Texas (for The Netherlands): Sharleen is a fixed value and Jan was going to propose her to the Dutch organization. Will she be able to convince Charleroi?
Tina Turner (for Antwerp, The Netherlands and Germany): let us dream that John Miles can convince her! TinaTurner
BryanFerry Bryan Ferry (for Antwerp, The Netherlands and Germany): Some time ago, Bryan Ferry was surly interested in a return to Night of the Proms, but was crossed by some vocal problems. Will he be with us in 2010?

Dates for the next shows
By now, there are more than thirty shows planned for the fall; somewhere in Germany, the 750th NOTP show will be played for sure.
